QuestionAnswer
Codominance A type of genetic expression where all genes are expressed equally(no Dominance or recessive)
Allele Pair of alternate forms of a gene
Punnett square a tool used to predict the outcome of a genetic cross
Phenotype how genes are expressed: What the organism actually looks like
Heterozygous Having two different alleles for a gene
Mutation a change in the original genetic swquence
Genotype the genetic makeup of an organism. This will help determine the phenotype
Homologous Chromosomes Matching Chromosomes (one from Mom and one from Dad)
Homoqygous Having two of the same alleles of a gene. Example; Having two alleles that code for blue yes.
Gene The basic unit of heredity. What genes you have dictates how you will look.
