What is cohesion? hydrogen bonding that keeps water molecules close to eachother. Helps pull water upward in the microscopic water-conducting cells of plants, and is also responsible for water's surface tension. ( 1 of the major properties of water)
What is Moderation of Temperature? Water has a high specific heat; This helps keep temperatures relatively steady, within limits that permit life; evaporative cooling is based on water's high heat vaporization & ultimately cools a surface(i.e sweating)( 1 of the major properties of water)
