QuestionAnswer
Nucleus Control center of the cell. Contains the cell's DNA.
Chromatin Grangular material found in nucleus....made of DNA.
Nucleolus Small dense regio in nucleus; that is where ribosomes are made.
Ribosomes Small particles found throughout the cytoplasm and produce protiens.
Endoplasmic Reticulum Internal membrane system that moves substances from place to place with in the cell.
Golgi Apparatus Function is to modify, sort and package protiens for export out of the cell.
Lysosomes Small organelles that help the cell get rid of waste; lysosomes are filled with enzymes.
Cytoskeleton A network of protien filaments that helps the cell to maintain its shape.
Centrioles Found in animal cells only-helps to organize cell division.
Mitochondria These organelles convert the chemical energy in food into compounds.
Chloroplast Found in plant cells only.
Cell membrane Membrane that sorrounds every cell.
Cell wall Provides support and extra protection to the plant cell.
