Terms for chapter eighteen section one: Modern Biology

QuestionAnswer
Interdependence When the survival of organisms depends on interactions with other organism and the non living things within their environment.
Ecological Models Things Ecologists create to help them understand environmental interactions and to make predictions about possible changes. These models may be physical, conceptual, or mathmatical.
Biosphere The broadest, most inclusive level of organization; the thin volume of Earth and it's atmosphere.
Ecosystem Includes all of the organisms and the non living environment found in a particular place.
Community All the interacting organisms living in an area.
Population Includes all the members of a species that live in one place at one time.
