CIRCUMFERENCE the distance around (Ch. 35)
PATTERN WAX inlay wax; used on die, a positive replica of the prepared tooth made from stone (Ch. 35)
PROCESSING WAX several waxes used in dentistry are in the processing wax classification; (e.x. boxing wax, sticky wax, and utility wax) (Ch. 35)
UTILITY WAX also called periphery or bending wax, is a soft wax that is adhesive and pliable (Ch. 35)
STICKY WAX another type of processing wax; used to hold two fractured pieces together until they can be repaired (Ch. 35)
BOXING WAX soft, pliable wax that is used to form a wax box around the impression prior to pouring it with gypsum (Ch. 35)
AXIAL WALLS walls parallel to the long axis of the tooth (Ch. 33)
DENTIFRICE toothpaste used with brushing and flossing for patient oral hygiene self-care (Ch. 4)
CARIES dental cavities; tooth decay (Ch. 4)
XEROSTOMIA dryness of the mouth caused by saliva reduction (Ch. 4)
