What are the tertiary colors? Red-violet, blue-violet, Blue-green, Yellow-green, Yellow-orange, Red-orange
What is a saturated color? The colors used in the color wheel
What three groups make up the color wheel? Primary, secondary, and tertiary
What is a tint? Saturated color that is mixed with pure white color
What is a shade? Saturated color that is mixed with pure black color
What are three colors that are considered to be warm colors? Red, orange, and yellow
What are three colors that are considered to be cool colors? Blue, green, and violet
What are the five neutral colors? Black, grey, white, brown, and tan
What are the six types of color harmonies? Monochromatic, analogous, complementary, triadic, split complementary, and neutral
What is a monochromatic color harmony? They are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color
What is an analougus color harmony? Are done by using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel
What is a complementary color harmony? Two colors that are directly across from each other on the color wheel
What is a triadic color harmony? Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other
What is a split complementary scheme? Created by using any color and the two colors located next to that colors complement
What is a neutral color scheme? Any combination of blacks, grey, whites, browns, and tans
