Terms used in creating a video in iMovie
Term | Definition |
---|---|
Import | To transfer a computer file from one application to another |
Media | The press, the news, the papers; broadcasting, publishing. |
Theme | Subject, topic, subject matter, |
Voice Over | A production technique where a voice—that is not part of the narrative is used in a radio, television production, filmmaking, theatre, or other presentations. |
Video | A recorded, moving visual image |
iMovie | An Application on your iMac used to add audio and visual effects to a video |
Audio | Sound, especially when recorded, transmitted, or reproduced |
Effects | Lighting, sound, or scenery used in a play, movie, or broadcast |
Title | The name of a book, movie, or other artistic work |
Credits | An acknowledgment of a contributor's services to a movie or a television program, typically one of a list that is scrolled down the screen at the beginning or end of a movie or program: the closing credits finished rolling. |
Lower Third | In the television industry, a l_ _ _ r t _ _ _d is a graphic placed in the title-safe lower area of the screen, though not necessarily the entire lower third of it, as the name suggests. |
Finalize | To produce a finished and definitive version of a project |
Transition | The process or a period of changing from one state or condition to another |
Continuity | The maintenance of continuous action and self-consistent detail in the various scenes of a movie or broadcast |
Sensory | Of or relating to sensation or the physical senses |
Clip | A snippet or cutting from a video |
