Think Win-Win

TermDefinition
Win-Lose Low in consideration and high in courage. You're bold but cold. You want to get ahead even if it means stepping on someone to get there.
Lose-Win High in consideration but low in courage. Eager to please and reluctant to stand up for yourself. You become a doormat while someone else makes the decision.
Lose-Lose Low in both consideration and courage. Don't care if other people lose, nor do you have the courage to stand up for yourself.
Win-Win or No Deal High in both consideration and courage. Ready to walk away before someone else loses.
Emotional Bank Account When you do something positive that is a deposit. When you do something negative to hurt a relationship that is a withdrawal.
Withdrawal Asked you to take notes and attend class while they went on vacation. Example of which emotional bank account?
Deposit Gave you opera tickets for your birthday. Which emotional bank account?
Neutral Took you to lunch at a fast food restaurant so you could talk about a school project you were working on.
Deposit Treat people with kindness is an example of what kind of emotional bank account?
Withdrawal Lies or broken promises are an example of which transaction in an emotional bank account?
Keep confidences with them When someone shares something with you in private you should keep what with that person?
Be loyal to the absent Don't gossip or backbite because others will wonder if you do the same with them.
Set Clear Expectations Don't leave things fuzzy. Set up the way things should be done and follow through on them.
Apologize If you're in the wrong, admit it now!
Forgive Learn to forgive and to forget so that you don't have to keep hurting yourself.
