What is "Figure Out What A Deposit Is for the Other Person"? What you think is a deposit for the other person may in fact be a withdrawal in their mind. You wont kn ow unless you find out.
What is a relationship withdrawal? When you do something that hurts a relationship.
What is a relationship deposit? When you do something that helps the relationship.
What is "Do Small Acts of Kindness"? If you want to make friends, take the initiative, be kind to others, and create connections while making deposits- both online and off.
What is "Keep Promises"? Make good on your word and be very careful before using the words "I promise" or "I commit". It takes a long time to rebuild an Emotional Bank Account.
What is "Keep Confidences"? When someone shares something with you in confidence, keep it that way.
What is "Be Loyal to the Absent"? Avoid gossiping and badmouthing, and stick up for people.
What is "Set Clear Expectations"? Don't leave tings fuzzy, and follow through on whats expected.
What is "Apologize"? If you're wrong, admit it now.
What is "Forgive"? Learn to forgive and to forget so that you don't keep hurting yourself the way you were hurt.
What are the two rules for making deposits? 1) A deposit is only a deposit if the other person sees it as one. 2) It can take one or more deposits to make up for one withdrawal.
