What is a monochromatic color scheme? | colors that are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color (ex. navy blue, bright blue, baby blue), uses tints and shades in one hue |
What is an analogous color scheme? | they are done by using three or more colors that are next to each other on the color wheel (ex. blue, blue-green, green) |
What is an accented neutral color scheme? | any combination of blacks, greys, whites, browns and tans |
What color scheme is 2 colors opposite on the color wheel. | the analogous color scheme |
How many colors in a split complementary color scheme? | uses 3 colors in total,1 colors plus the 2 colors on either side of the original colors complement |

What is the value of a color? | value refers to the lightness or darkness of a color |
What is the intensity of a color mean? | how bright or dull a color looks, refers to the purity of a hue |

How do you make a tint? | by adding white to the color (tint is a saturated color that is mixed with pure white color) |
How do you make a shade? | by adding black to the color, (shade is a saturated color that is mixed with pure black color) |
What are the warm colors? | red, orange, yellow |
What are the cool colors.? | blue, green, violet |
What are the neutral colors? | black, grey, white, brown, tan |
What is unique about the primary colors? | that you cannot achieve this colors by mixing any other colors together |
