Color terms

QuestionsAnswers
What is a monochromatic color scheme? They are achieved by using tints and shades of only one color.
What is an analogous color scheme? Are done by using three or more colors that are next to each on the color wheel.
What is an accented neutral color scheme? Adding a bit of color to a fully neutral color scheme.
What color scheme is 2 colors opposite on the color wheel. Complementary.
How many colors in a split complementary color scheme? Any color and the two colors located next to it.
Name the Primary colors. Red, blue and yellow.
Name the secondary colors. Violet, green and orange.
What is the value of a color? It is the measurement of the brightness of a color.
What is the intensity of a color mean? To show how bright or dull a color is.
What is the hue? A color itself.
How do you make a tint? A color mixed with white.
How do you make a shade? A color with black.
What are the warm colors? Red, orange and yellow.
What are the cool colors.? Blue, green and violet.
What are the neutral colors? Black, grey, white, brown and tan.
What is unique about the primary colors? You cannot achieve these colors by mixing any other colors together.
Name 3 tertiary colors. Red-violet, blue-violet and blue-green.
What is the proper way to name a tertiary color? Always write primary colors first.
What is another name for a tertiary color? Intermediate colors.
What is a triadic color scheme? Three colors that are located within equal distance of each other.
