Benzo's | Short-term use (very addictive). Ideally prn. Not ideal for elderly (become more confused/agitated). Expected s/e: drowsiness, decreased VS. Adverse effects: very lethargic, slurred speech, ataxia. Don't stop suddenly (w/drawls, possibly grand mal). |

Anafranil | Antidepressant |
Beta Blockers | Used to treat symptoms of anxiety; palpitations, tachycardia, tremors. Taken daily. Need B/P & pulse. |
