BGL<60 pt alert and able to protect airway. | Glucose gel prn. |
Altered pt with BGL<60 and no IV acsess. | Glucagon 1mg IM. |
If patient is hypoglycemic and malnourished or has ETOH abuse history. | THIAMINE 100mg prior to D50. |
If clinically indicated (pin point pupils, respiratory depression) Give | Naloxone 2mg and repeat as necessary. |
