Why do phospholipds form a double layer? | Phospholipids form a double layer because of their structure. The heads form the outer layers and the tails form the inner layer. |
What does selectively permeable mean? | It allows some, but not all materials to cross. |
What is a membrane receptor? | It's a molecule that other molecules attach to, causing changes in the cell. |
How does a membrane receptor transmit messages across membranes? | The receptor opens up and allows certain ions in through it's receptor channel into the cell. |
