Trait | a quality that makes one person or thing different from another |
Characteristics | a special quality or trait that makes a person, thing, or group different from others |

Manufacture | to make something by hand or machinery |
Transfer | to move from one person, place, or thing to another |
Producers | Organisms that make their own food through photosynthesis |

Metamorphosis | The change in an organism that's going through its life cycle |
Complete Metamorphosis | Egg, larva, pupa, adult |
Incomplete Metamorphosis | A change in an organism where the nymph looks like a small adult |
Nymph | This organism resembles a smaller version of the adult |
Larva | This is the part of the life cycle where the organism just eats and grows |
Pupa | The organism is resting and new body parts are being formed (cocoon) |
Species | A group of organisms of the same kind that can produce offspring like themselves |
Inherited Traits | A trait passed from parent to offspring (eye color, height, hair color |
Ancestor | the organisms that came before the current one |
Stage | Specific period of time during life or growth |
Niche | An organism's roles in its environment |
Instinct | A behavior an animal does without being taught (Migration, hibernation) |
Learned behavior | A behavior that has to be taught (reading a book, riding a bike) |
Habitat | The place or environment where an organism naturally lives |
