Primary Structure | A sequence of amino acids |
Secondary Structure | The formation of a regular pattern of twists or kinks of the polypeptide chain. The 2 most common are the alpha helix and ß plated sheet. |
Tertiary Structure | A higher level of folding in which the helices and sheets of the secondary structure fold upon themselves |
Quaternary Structure | The result of the combination of 2 or more polypeptide subunits |
Collagen | A fibrous protein of 3 polypeptides |
Hemoglobin | A fibrous protein of 4 polypeptides |
