Primary Structure A sequence of amino acids
Secondary Structure The formation of a regular pattern of twists or kinks of the polypeptide chain. The 2 most common are the alpha helix and ß plated sheet.
Tertiary Structure A higher level of folding in which the helices and sheets of the secondary structure fold upon themselves
Quaternary Structure The result of the combination of 2 or more polypeptide subunits
Collagen A fibrous protein of 3 polypeptides
Hemoglobin A fibrous protein of 4 polypeptides
