What is a light wave? | A characteristic of light energy that has a particular length and frequency and corresponds to a particular color. |

What is a concave lens? | This lens curves inward and light bends outward from the center of the lens. |
What is a convex lens? | This lens bulges outward. Light rays bend inward toward its center. |

Describe reflection | The bouncing of light waves off of a surface. Any shiny surface such as a mirror show a reflection. |
What does absorption mean? | The act of taking in. A sponge or a papertowel absorbs liquids. After a rainfall, some of the water is absorbed into the ground. |
When is something transparent? | When all the light goes through and object so that objects on the other side can be seen clearly. |
Translucent is... | Letting only some light through, so that objects on the other side appear blurry. |
What does opaque mean? | Completely blocking light from passing through. |
