What is excretion? | Excretion is the process by which the body removes waste that has been produces by the body's own cells. |
What are the three main organs responsible for excretion? | The lungs, the kidneys, the skin. |
What do the Lungs excrete? | Carbon dioxide and some water. |
What do the Kidneys excrete? | Urine (water and salt). |
What does the skin excrete? | Sweat (water and salt). |
Where is urine stored before it is released from the body? | The bladder. |
What is the normal temperature of the Human body? | 37 degrees. |
If we get too hot the skin excretes sweat to help us cool down, can you name the two components of sweat? | Water and salt. |
