Term | Definition |
Two voices: | Active and passive |
Active voice | Shows that the subject of the verb performs the action of the verb |
Passive voice | Shows that the subject of the verb receives the action (usually doesn't use sum) |
Another way to think of it? | Direct of an active verb becomes subject when verb is passive |
Examples of active and passive? | A: Fābulam narrat=he is telling a story P: fābula narrātur=a story is being told |
