Vocab Word | Definiton |
Dividend | Portion of a company's profits (earnings) that stockholders may be given. |
Liquidity | Converting an asset -in this case a stock- into money with little or no value loss. |
Private Company | Owned by a person, family, or small group that doesn't sell stock. |
Profit/Earnings | Amount of money left after subtracting company expenses from revenue. |
Public Company | Owned by investors who buy stock shares through a stock exchange. |
Risk | Chance of losing all or part of an investment. |
Stock | Ownership of shares in a business. |
Stockholders | One who owns shares in a company. |
