What are the classifications of Burns? | Superficial, Partial Thickness & Full Thickness

Describe a Superficial burn? | Outer most layer of skin will be red, tender & swollen

Describe a Partial Thickness burn? | Outer layer of skin is destroyed and very painful - if more than 20% of body affected it can be fatal

Describe a Full Thickness burn? | All layers of skin affected - possible damage to nerves, tissue, muscle & blood vessels. Sensation/pain is usually lost.Pale, waxy or charred appearance.

What is the treatment for a burn? | Cool affected area with cold liquid for 10 minutes.

What is the treatment for a Corrosive injury? | Flush chemical away for at least 20 minutes
