| What is the Doric? | The doric is the earliest form of the columns. They were pieced together when they were created. They had a rounded plain top. Frieze (top horizontal piece) is ornamented.

| What is the Ionic Order? | The ionic was the "middle" (between doric and Corinthian). The ionic has a scrolled comumn top. Frieze is empty. The corinve (or roof) has dental work, or no ornaments on it.

| What is the Corinthian Order? | The Corinthian is the more modern column. It has a well ornamented. They have more organic designs on top of the columns (leaves,fruit) The freize is empty but the dental work is more ornate.
