Crust   The outermost layer of the earth.

Oceanic Crust   The denser crust with twice as much iron, calcium, and magnesium. It is also thinner.

Continental Crust   The thicker crust that is more dense.

Mantle   The layer of the Earth between the crust and the core.

Lithosphere   The solid, outer layer of the earth that consists of the crust and the rigid upper part of the mantle.

Asthenosphere   The soft layer of the the mantle on which the tectonic plates move.

Mesosphere   The strong, lower part of the mantle between the asthenosphere and the outer core.

Inner Core   The solid, dense center of our planet that extends from the bottom of the outer core to the center of the Earth, which is about 6,380 km the surface.

Outer Core   The liquid layer of the earths core layer that lies beneath the mantle and the crust.

Core   The layer of the Earth that extends from below the mantle to the center of the Earths core.
