| What is a light wave? | A characteristic of light energy that has a particular length and frequency and corresponds to a particular color.

| Explain what a prism is and what it does. | It is a solid, transparent object that refracts light and separates white light into colors.

| What is a concave lens? | This lens curves inward and light bends outward from the center of the lens.

| When is something transparent? | When all the light goes through and object so that objects on the other side can be seen clearly.

| Translucent is... | Letting only some light through, so that objects on the other side appear blurry.
