| excretion | the system in the body that collects wastes produced by cells and removes the wastes from the body.

| urea | a chemical that comes from the breakdown of proteins.

| kidneys | the two major organs of the excretory system that remove urea and other wastes from the blood.

| urine | a watery fluid that contains urea and other water.

| ureters | two narrow tubes that urine flows to from the kidneys.

| urinary bladder | a sack-like muscular organ that stores urine.

| urethra | small tube from which urine leaves the body.

| nephrons | tiny filtering factors that remove wastes from blood and produce urine.

Review the information in the table. When you are ready to quiz yourself you can hide individual columns or the entire table. Then you can click on the empty cells to reveal the answer. Try to recall what will be displayed before clicking the empty cell.
