Renewable resource   Wind, solar and water energy – it will not run out and is clean for the environment  
Nonrenewable resource   Oil, coal, gas- energy sources that will run out eventually and are bad for the environment  
Deforestation   habitat destruction caused by cutting down too many trees  
Acid Rain   occurs when chemicals from factory and car exhaust dissolve in the air and precipitate out later on.  
Invasive Species   an organism that is not native but is brought into a habitat, potentially disruption the ecosystem  
Pollution   any chemical that is released into the environment that can cause harm.  
Ozone Depletion   Chlorofluorocarbons from aerosol cans caused a thinning in the layer of the atmosphere that protects us from the sun’s harmful rays  
Global Warming   Carbon dioxide building up in the earth’s atmosphere is causing the earth to retain more of its heat, slowly changing the climate.  
Over Population   when organisms reproduce too successfully and outgrow their habitat’s available resources.
