First science test vocab words

QuestionAnswer
Observations Allow to gather information about something.
Qualitative What you can learn about an object using your 5 senses.
Quantitative What you can learn about an object using numbers and measurments.
Infrence A conclusion based on your observations. They try to make sense or explain your observations.
Science Knowlege gained by systematic study.
Variables Any factor that can change in an experiment observation or model.
Hypothesis Prediction;testable idea or explanation that leads to scientific investigation.
Independent Variable Manipulated variable; what YOU change.
Dependent variable Responding variable; what happens as a result.
