Chemical Change Change that produce new substances that have properties different than those of the original substances. Products(in a chemical equation) Substance that forms as a result of a chemical reaction.
Element Substance that cannot be broken down into simpler substances. Coefficient(in a chemical reaction) The number of molecules of reactants or products.A blank means "one".
Chemical Formula a representation of a substance using symbols for its constituent elements Subscript(in a chemical reaction) The number of molecules of a reactants or products.
Element(Diatomic)Molecule A molecule made of only 1 atom. Chemical Equation Shorthand form for writing what reactants are used and what products are formed in a chemical reaction
Compound Molecule A molecule made of more than 1 type of atom. Chemical Reaction Process that produces chemical change, resulting in new substances that have properties different from those of the original substances
Reactants(in a chemical equation) Substance that exists before a chemical reaction begins.
Law of Conservation of Mass According to the Law of Conservation, the mass of the products of a chemical reaction must be the same mass of the reactants in that reaction.
Physical Change Change that only affect a substance's physical properties,such as its shape or size.
