QuestionAnswer
What is science? A way of looking at the universe and asking questions about the interactions of matter and energy.
What is inferring? They are explaining things based on what they hve observed or already know.
What is observing? using one or more of their senses (sight, hearing, touch, taste, and smell) to gather information.
Includes a number word Quantitative observation
Description without numbers Qualitative observation
You can't see it Indirect observation
You can see it Direct observation
What is measuring? Determining the length, area, volume, mass, temperture, etc. in order to describe objects or situatons.
What is predicting? They are making a forecast about what will happen in the future. Based on past experience or evidence.
What is classifying? They are grouping together items that are a line.
Making models or Representing data= They are creating representations of ojects or processes.
What is communicating? They are sharing what they have learned with others.
Can all questions be answered by science? No
