How many kingdoms do scientists think there are today? six
How is a species properly identified? Genus & Species name
What are the requirements to belong to the plant kingdom? *make your own food *have many cells
Because there are so many species of plants how do scientist organize plants? into groups called divisions
Name the requirements to be a vascular plant? *veins or tubes in its roots, stems, and leaves
What if a plant has no veins or tubes in its roots, stems, and leaves...what is it called? nonvascular
Give 3 examples of fungi: yeast,mold, mushrooms
Why is fungi important to the environment? breaks down dead organisms
What do we call bacteria that can only live in extreme conditions? archaebacteria
Where does a virus go to instruct the cell to reproduce copies of the virus? inside the host cell
