Radiation The direct transfer of energy by electromagnetic waves
Most of the energy from the sun reaches Earth in the form of visible light and infrared radiation, and a small amount of ultraviolet light. What types of lights reach Earth's Surface?
Greenhouse Effect The process by which gases hold heat in the air
The sky is blue because light is being scattered in all directions in the sky, and shorter wavelengths are able to be scattered more, and blue is a little bit shorter than purple in wavelengths. So you see blue. Explain why the sky is Blue.
The sky is Orange during sunsets because the remaining light from the day contains mostly red and orange light. Why is the sky Orange during sunsets?
The Greenhouse effect is energy/radiation being absorbed by gases and the atmosphere that surround the Earth. First, infrared radiation can't penetrate through or back out into space due to clouds and the atmosphere. Explain the Greenhouse effect.
