Characteristics of Dependent personality disorder (Cluster C) Excessively clinging, self-sacrificing, submissive. Needy, gets others to care for him/her.
Characteristics of Histrionic personality disorder (Cluster B) Seductive, flamboyant, attention seeking, shallow, depressive and suicidal when admiration withdrawn.
Characteristics of Narcissistic Personality Disorder (Cluster B) Exploitive, grandiose, disparaging, filled with rage. Very sensitive to rejection, criticism. Cannot show empathy, handles aging poorly.
Characteristics of Antisocial personality disorder (Cluster B) Can seem normal, exhibits no anxiety or depression. Manipulative, exploitive of others, aggressive, seductive, callous towards others.
Characteristics of Borderline personality disorder (Cluster B) Shows separation anxiety. Manifests ideas of reference. Impulsive (suicide, self-mutilation). Engages in splitting (adoring then devaluing persons)
Characteristics of Schizoid personality disorder (Cluster A) Reclusive, avoidant, uncooperative.
Characteristics of paranoid personality disorder (Cluster A) Projects blame. Suspicious and mistrustful, hostile and violent. Shows cognitive and perceptual distortions.
Characteristics of schizotypal personality disorder (Cluster A) Manifests ideas of reference. Shows cognitive and perceptual distortions, socially inept, anxious.
