Autotroph An organism that makes it's own food
Heterotroph An organism that depends on other organisms to supply them energy
Chlorophyll A Green pigment in the chloroplasts
Photosynthesis THe process in witch a plant captures energy from the sun to make food
Respiration Cells beak down sugars and release energy
Stage 1 In the cytoplasm the molecules of glucose are broken down into smaller molecules
Stage 2 In mitochondria the smaller molecules use oxygen to break the molecules down further
Fermentation When the body can't supply the cells oxygen anymore this supplies the cells with energy without using oxygen
