scientific investigation

QuestionAnswer
What is a prediction? A guess what you think will happen based on past experiences and observations.
What is an inference? A conclusion based on evidence.
What is an observation? When you notice things using your five senses.
What do you do when you classify things? You put things in groups based on characteristics(alikes and differences)
What do you do when you sequence things? You put them in oder by first, second, third, etc.
What is a hypothesis? It is a "if... then" statement that tells what you think will happen in an experiment.
What is a conclusion? The results you get at the end of an experiment.
