A deadly complication that results in Inc pulse, Dec BP, and severe pain following a GI diagnostic study could be? perforation leading to peritonitis
herniation of portion of the stomach into the esophagus, through an opening in the diaphragm, reflex betching. Cause is unknown but maybe r/t age, malnutrition, heavy lifting, trauma, abd obesity hiatal hernia
heartburn after lying supine, after a meal, or bending over. Aggravated by large meal, alcohol, or smoking. Must r/o gallbladder, peptic ulcer, and angina before diagnosted with this. Diagnosed by barium swallow or endoscopy hiatal hernia
Obstruction, Infection, Inflammation, Perforation are all contributing factors. Is an emergency situation. Diverticulitis
1 pouch or many pouches. is a precursor. Diverticulosis
Refined sugars, low fiber diet, loss of muscle mass r/t age, slow movement thru intestines are all factors that precipitate to ? Diverticulosis
Abdonminal pain and change in bowel patterns, and asymptomatic are r/t ? Diverticulosis
Acute localized LLQ abd pain, fever, and leukocytosis, palpable abd mass are are sympt of ? Diverticulitis
