vascular plant plants that have these tissues are called vascular plants.
xylem xylem carries water nad nutrients from the roots to the leaves.
phloem carries food from the leaves to the other parts of the plant for use and storage.
nonvascular plant they do not have tissues through witch water, nutrients, and food are transported.
tropism the response of a plant to turn toward or away from anything in its environment.
phototropism a response to light, like the one shown by flowers on the windowsill.
gravitropism the root of a plant grows downward, in the direction of gravity
