Types of Sentences

Sentence | A group of words that expresses a complete thought. |
Subject | A noun or group of nouns that tell WHO or WHAT the sentence is about. |
Predicate | The verb or verbs that tell what subject of the sentence IS DOING OR BEING. |
Declarative | A statement that end with a period. |
Exclamatory | A sentence that expresses strong feelings and ends with an exclamation mark. |
Imperative | A sentence that gives directions or orders; command. It can end with either a period or an exclamation. |
