Types of Sentences

QuestionAnswer
Sentence A group of words that expresses a complete thought.
Subject A noun or group of nouns that tell WHO or WHAT the sentence is about.
Predicate The verb or verbs that tell what subject of the sentence IS DOING OR BEING.
Declarative A statement that end with a period.
Exclamatory A sentence that expresses strong feelings and ends with an exclamation mark.
Imperative A sentence that gives directions or orders; command. It can end with either a period or an exclamation.
