Unit 3 Review-Ch 7

States of matter? Oxygen, glass, and water.
What is a fluid? Anything that flows.
What is Condensation? Substance from a gas to a liquid form.
What is the Kinetic molecular theory? Energy of motion, made up of small particles, space between, and constantly moving.
What is Thermal Expansion? When energy is added, the particles start to heat up, and move faster. Also, bigger spaces in between, and particles start to expand.
What is Thermal Contraction? Particles slow down, because of low temp. and the particles will have less in between as they lose energy. Also a decrease in volume.
How do you calculate Density? Mass divided by volume.
What is the boiling point? When liquid turns to a gas.
