What is a volcano? It is an opening in the earths crust.
Once magma reaches the surface what is is called. It is called lava.

What is a chain of volcanic mountains? Its an island chain.
Its a tool that mesasures the tilt of the volcanoe. It is tiltmeter.
What helped to form Georgia's landforms? Extinct volcanoes.
What does the magma chamber do? IT captures the gases in the magma.
Are Gentle eruptions harmless? No.
What are shield volcanoes? They are built buy thinner lava that spreads over a large area of land.
What are cinder-cone vocanoes? They are built buy thick lava that is tossed in the air in chuncks.
How does a dike form? when magma hardens.
When magma forms a dome it is called? laccolith
What is the largest and deppest part of magma? batholiths.
What is composite volcanoe? It is built with a lot of ash.
Where an ocean-floor plate is pushed under another ocean it is called? An Island Arc is formed.
Where are most volcanoes form? Near the plate boundaries.
Where do most volcanoes erupt? the pacific ocean.
What happened in Mount st. Helens in 1995 It blew its top off.
Lava that comes from the sea floor forms what? It builds volcanic Islands.
