Wave a disturbance in matter that carries energy from one place to another
Medium the material through which a wave travels through matter
Traverse medium vibrates at a right angle to direction wave is traveling
Compression medium vibrates parallel to direction wave is traveling
Wavelength the distance between a point on a wave and the same point on the next cycle of the wave
Frequency the number of complete cycle over a given period of time
Pitch frequency of sound as you perceive it(how high or low it sounds)
Amplitude maximum displacement of medium from rest position
Loudness Our perception of amplitude (intensity)
Decibels(Db) unit of measure
