Immunology Terms from Immune Attack!

QuestionAnswer
Monocytes Large white blood cells that can migrate into connective tissue through endothelial cells.
Macrophage Refers to a monocyte which has left the blood vessels and enters connective tissue.
Neutrophils A type of white blood cell in the innate immune system which attacks invaders quickly and in large numbers.
T-Cells/B-Cells Lymphocytes that are selective, attacking invaders that monocytes and neutrophils cannot recognize and destroy.
Selectins Large molecules which help immune cells locate the site of an infection.
