QuestionAnswer
Does the Earth rotate around its own axis or around the sun? The Earth rotates around its own axis and orbits around the sun.
How long does it take for one rotation? 24hrs.
How is the Earth's rotation related to why we have night and day? Because the Earth rotates, the sun's rays hit at different points. Therefore, we have night and day.
Any interesting info? Each March and September, daytime and nighttime are the same length.
What is the name given to the path the Earth takes around the sun? Orbit.
How long does it take for the Earth to rotate around the sun? 365 & 1/4 days.
What is "odd" about the axis of the Earth? It's tilted to 23 & 1/2degrees.
Why does the Sun appear from East to West? Because we are tilting/rotating from west to east, the sun appears to be moving
