In 1984 what was the minimum period for filling divorce reduced from and to? 3 years to 1 year.
What year was the Family Law act that encouraged couples to seek mediation before seeking divorce? 1996.
What year was the Civil Partnership Act? What did it allow? 2004. Allowed for Civl Partnerships to dissolve o the basis ofirretrievable breakdown.
What year did the Appeal court ruling review financial divorce settlements? 2007
What was the effect of Legislations on Divorce rates? Divorce rates were rising in the 60s, but all of the legislations meant that in the 70s there was a surge of divorces.
