What is weather Weather is the short term condition of the atmosphere at a particular place or a particular time.
What is climate? Climate is the long term weather patterns of a certain place
What is the difference between a risk and a hazard? A hazard is a potential source of harm, however, it only becomes a disaster when the destruction begins.
What is the difference between a warm and cold front? A front separates warm and cold air. If it is a cold front the cold is behind the front, and the opposite for a warm front.
what is a low pressure system Area of Rising Air Generally cloudy weather and a good chance of rain. Winds rotate in a clockwise direction.
What is a high pressure system? Area of Sinking Air Generally fine weather. Winds rotate around these systems in an anticlockwise direction.
What is the first layer of the atmosphere?  The Troposphere contains most of the water vapour in the atmosphere & weather results from constant changes in the air in the troposphere.
What is the second layer of the atmosphere? The second layer is the stratosphere
What is the third layer of the atmosphere? The third layer is the Mesosphere this is where most meteors burn up, it is the coldest part of the atmosphere
What is the fourth layer of the atmosphere? The fourth layer is the Thermosphere here Aurora lights appear and the space shuttle and satellites orbit
What are the eight climate zones of australia? Hot dessert-orange Hot semi-dessert - yellow Tropical wet and dry- red and blue Subtropical dry winter- grey Subtropical wet-blue Mild wet- purple Tropical wet- green Subtropical dry summer-Yellow and Orange-
