A Clause. A group of words containing a subject and a verb.

Rhyme. Gives melody to poetry.
Stanza. Several lines of poetry grouped together.
Independent Clause. A clause that can stand alone.
Dependent. A clause that cannot stand alone.
Meter. Poetic rhythm.
