adverse effects | decreased secretions, facial flushing,blurred vision. may cause paradoxical bradycardia if given too slowly or dose is too low |
contraindications | acute MI, myasthenia gravis, GI obstruction, closed-angle glaucoma. will not be effective for Type 2 AV block or 3rd Deg. block with wide QRS complex. |
symptomatic brady dose | adult: .5mg q. 3-5minutes ped/adol:.02mg/kg |
organophosphate poisoning dose | adult: 2-4mg ped: .05mg/kg |
