recipe words and definitions

combine to mix together several ingredients
ingredients the items needed to make the recipe. Ex: butter, sugar, etc.
blend to mix together
chop to cut up
preheat to turn the oven on in the beginning
optional you can add if you want or not..the choice is yours.
sauce pan a pot
refrigerator where you keep things cold like milk
pantry the cabinet where you keep sugar, flour, etc.
teaspoon the regular spoon you eat with
tablespoon a bigger spoon used in the big bowl of food.
spatula the flat metal thing that Spongebob uses
mixture what you have when you have mixed everything together
serving how much it feeds, 4 servings..feeds 4 people
beat to mix up quickly
slice to cut up
bake to put in the oven...bottom part of stove
oven or stove what you cook on...stove is on top, oven is the bottom with the door that opens
golden brown a little brown on top, shows the food is done
boil to turn the heat way up to 212 F
freezer the REALLY cold part of the frig..where the ice cream is kept
plastic wrap the clear plastic that you wrap foods in
aluminium foil the shiny metal looking stuff that you wrap foods in.
sprinkle scatter around on the cupcake.
peel to take the cover off...peel the banana.
crushed to smash up in many pieces
