Sagittal Plane Divides body into left and right sides

How many main body cavities are there? 5
What does the serous membrane do? protects the heart from friction from pumping
Name the top 3 abdominopelvic regions: right and left hypochondriac, epigastric regions
Name the middle 3 abdominopelvic regions: right and left lumbar, umbilical regions
Name the bottom 3 abdominopelvic regions: right and left iliac(inguinal), and hypogastric(pubic) regions.
Name the 4 abdominopelvic quadrants: right upper, left upper, right lower, left lower.
Name some body cavities(mostly cranial) oral, nasal, orbital, middle ear, and synovial(joints in knee and elbow)
Name 7 major body cavities(mostly abdominopelvic): Cranial, vertebral, mediastimun, pericardial, pleural, abdominal and pelvic
Differentiate between superior and inferior Superior- higher inferior-lower (the head is superior to the heart)
Differentiate between ventral and dorsal ventral- toward the front of the body dorsal- toward the back of the body(the heart is ventral to the spinal cord)
Differentiate between lateral and medial lateral- toward outside of body medial- toward the midline of the body(the arm is lateral to the ribs)
Differentiate between distal and proximal distal- away from point of origin proximal- toward point of origin (the wrist is distal to the elbow)
Differentiate between superficial and deep superficial- towards the surface deep- inside the body (the skin is superficial to the liver)
Name the levels of structural organization: chemical, cellular, tissue, organ, organ system, organism
