What is a conclusion? A statement or paragraph with your results and analysis of the experiment.
First thing to do before beginning any experiment. Read entire lab.
Best material to wear during an experiment. Cotton
What is the purpose in the Scientific Method? The reason to research, perform experiment etc..
What is the research in the Scientific Method? The data collected before the experiment, stats, etc..
What is the analysis in the Scientific Method? Going over the results when the experiment is completed.
What is the experiment in the Scientific Method? The procedure done to test the hypothesis and to gain data to analyze and conclude.
How to smell items in the lab. Waft
How not to smell items in the lab. Stick your face close to the item you're smelling.
What is the control group? The group that you don't make any changes to.
What is the independent variable? The variable you can change and manipulate.
What is the dependent variable? The variable that depends on the amount of another.
What is the Procedure? All the steps you take when performing a scientific investigation.
What is an observation? A fact you can prove from actually witnessing something happen.
What is an inference? a "guess"you can make from not actually seeing something happen, but you know it happened.
What is a Hazard? Something that go go wrong in a lab that could potentially harm you.
What is emergency equipment? Things you use if something goes wrong; extinguisher, fire blanket, etc..
Always notify teacher if: Allergies, illnesses, something breaks, something goes wrong, potential hazards.
